Warmly Welcoming You
Focusing on your strengths and insights can lead to a more fulfilled view of yourself, as well as feeling more confidence and self esteem in your personal and professional relationships.
I have been working in the field of psychotherapy involved with adult children of Narcissistic and Borderline parents since 2009. The integration of evidence based techniques that are goal oriented combined with sincere compassion, empathy and safety for my client has resulted in their self development, personal growth and evolution.
How Psychotherapy Can Help You
We have all been affected by loss, grief, painful childhood experiences and trauma. You may be feeling depressed, overwhelmed, sad or alone. Psychotherapy can help you to feel better about yourself and not feel as alone going through a difficult time. It is about exploring what you are feeling and expressing this in the therapeutic process.
Psychotherapy can help in setting boundaries to feel less vulnerable and more in control of your life. Some other benefits are better coping skills and management, communication, self awareness and increased self esteem.
I am certified in Dr. Karyl McBride's five-step recovery model for treating adult children of narcissistic parents. My specialization is working with conflictual relationships between adult children and their parents who suffer from Borderline and Narcissistic Personality Tendency.
As your therapist, I will create for you a customized, unique treatment plan based on your personal needs and will apply the five-step plan to recovery. In addition, I integrate various modalities such as psychodynamic, depth, talk, somatic, supportive, expressive arts, breath work, mindfulness, meditations and visualizations in my practice.
Establishing healthy boundaries are explored. In addition, fears of abandonment, suicidal ideation, addictions, ideation and/or devaluation, sexual promiscuity are addressed. Modalities used are Psychodynamic, depth, talk therapy, somatic, supportive, mindfulness, meditation, visualization and breath work.
My Counselling Approach
My approach to counselling is to provide a humanistic, holistic and body oriented style in therapy that focuses on the spiritual, emotional, physical and creative well being of my clients.
I am certified in the five-step plan for "Healing Adult Children of Narcissistic Parents". This plan is designed to help you to recover from past childhood trauma, establish healthy boundaries and develop the skills necessary to navigate and take your power back from the childhood you lost, to becoming your authentic empowered adult self.
From the five-step plan, you will learn about Acceptance and Grief, Separation and Individuation, Becoming the Adult you truly are, Dealing with Parents during your Recovery and finally Ending the Narcissistic Legacy.
